Where the ROA works...
The Romanian Orphans Appeal has been working in Romania since 1990. We send aid to an orphanage, a paediatric TB clinic, an AIDS clinic for children and into schools.
The aid supports self help and education initiatives, and representatives of the ROA visit Iasi (pronounced “Yash”) and Ploiesti (pronounced “Ploy-esht”) annually to follow up aid donations and re-appraise the needs of those we are supporting.
Our partner charities in Romania make sure our aid goes direct to the neediest homes and individuals. Every member of the team works on an entirely voluntary basis and all funds raised go directly to the projects we support.
