Welcome to the ROA!
The Romanian Orphans Appeal is a UK charity, set up in 1990, to bring much needed aid and educational support to young people in post-Ceausescu Romania.
Based, in Wirral, in the Northwest of England, we work closely with charitable organisations within Romania, ensuring aid gets to where it is needed most.
Our Patron is The Baroness Chalker of Wallasey, a former Overseas Development minister.
Everyone working for the appeal does so on a voluntary basis - and we are always looking for new volunteers, for aid and for other support.
We hope you enjoy looking through our work and achievements so far, and that they may move you to feel you would like to do something too, to bring hope to the young and needy of this beautiful - and recovering - country.
